EPAM Systems - Lead/Chief Software Engineer - Java Development - J2EE/Spring/Hibernate (9-14 yrs)

- Hands-on experience in design and defining architecture of complex web-based applications.

- Hands-on experience on building distributed application using Core JAVA 7/8, Spring, Spring boot.

- Experience in ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA. Caching, Pagination and performance

- Working experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle

- Working experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/ Cassandra is a plus

- Hands-on experience on Web services development (RESTful API is mandatory/ SOAP is optional).

- Experience with API Security / Spring Security framework

- CI/CD exposure to build pipelines and containerization tools such as Jenkins/Docker

- Microservices and Cloud Native application and knowledge of 12 factor application guidelines. (Experience/Knowledge of Spring Cloud/Docker is definitive plus)

- Experience with messaging/event driven architecture is good to have (exposure to tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.)

- Well versed with unit testing - Junit/Mockito/PowerMock

- Able to perform code review and knowledge of static code analyzer

- Knowledge of OWASP top ten security vulnerabilities

- Hands on with working on implementing project using Agile methodologies

- Understanding of non-functional requirements

- Understand test strategies and various testing methodology is good to have (JBehave/ Cucumber/JMeter)

- Well versed with build tools such as Maven/Gradle - should be able to set it up from scratch

- Knowledge of design patterns the candidate must have the knowledge of applying the design pattern to various scenarios

- Experience with any cloud is definitive plus.

Responsibilities :

- Effective coordination with team/project stakeholder management

- Effective end to end execution of project from requirement phase till PROD deployment phase

- Leading code review activities and ensure defined quality standards are met

- Effectively identifying technical gaps in junior team members and solve their technical issues

- Effectively learning functional aspects of project

- Mentoring Junior developers and take delivery responsibility of assigned projects

- Identify and raise risks and potential issues on time with a mitigation plan

- Should be able to lead multiple projects with a sense of ownership

- Do hand on work/code and support the team when needed
