Mandatory Technical Skillset :

- Competency Focus (must have for this role)

1. Minimum 8 Years of experience as an SQL Database Engineer/DBA

2. Good hands on knowledge on SQL-2016

3. Very thorough and clear understanding of MS SQL Database version

4. Good hands on experience on Actifio tool

5. Good knowledge of compliance on technical activity

6. Good experience on Service now ticketing tool.

7. Experience on Powershell scripting.

8. In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Architecture, including the latest version or MSSQL.

9. Experience in handling complex database recovery scenarios, Patching and DR.

10. Experience in troubleshooting various installation and patching issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

11. Ability to work under pressure - quick thinking and remaining calm during stressful situations.

12. Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends.

13. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.

14. Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills.

Alternative skillset :

1. Experience on SQL Compliance and Audit

2. Experience on data modeling both physical and logical

3. PM Certification Required Yes

4. IT Infrastructure Skills with Project management as core skills.

Database Admin-MS SQL Band 7/8 :

Position Summary and Responsibilities :

- Ensure proper coverage and turn-around times

- Manage vacation requests (input to 1 st line manager)

- Elevate coverage concerns to 1 st line manager

- Ensure that delivery quality meets SLA requirements.

- Manage on-duty/on-call schedules and rotation

- Schedule off-hour resources for special activities (e.g. weekend on-call and change on-call responsibilities)

- With dispatchers, coordinate with project teams and Rhythm/Blues to identify and provide necessary resources in accordance with swing capacity rules and status of queues

- Conduct daily team huddle (Data-driven Performance Dialogue)

- Participate in daily meeting with other team leads

- Meet weekly with relevant 1 st line manager to discuss metrics

- Attend weekly report-out and joint problem-solving session with other pools and management

- Help prepare and provide required dashboard/metric data

- Act as the first point of contact within the pool for issues on the account

- Represent the pool in customer or account facing meetings

- Ensure that Account specific deskside procedures and work instructions are up-to-date and complete

- Communicate changes in Account specific details and procedures to the rest of the pool

- Maintain in depth knowledge on Account specific tools, SLAs and activities managed by the team

- Review and Present any issue identified by Defect Prevention Methodology to the Account team for implementation on the Account's environment

- Update the teams specific capability matrix with any changes to the Accounts tools, SLAs or activities performed.

- Environment Good knowledge of the ITIL Process of IPC. Demonstrates the required proficiency levels for skills defined at this position in the IBM Skills Management System.
